Developed for potential and existing responsible persons who have received no formal training and those requiring refresher training in the safe use of lifting equipment.

This one-day course provides delegates with the skills and knowledge to operate, inspect and maintain lifting equipment. It also offers an overview of the law surrounding lifting equipment, safe working environments, safe operation and periodic inspection and certification of equipment.

The course is tailored to meet your requirements and can be undertaken on-site or at one of our dedicated training centres across the country.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements, we will work closely with you before, during and after your on-site course to make sure it meets your specific needs.

Practical sessions are adapted to suit the equipment of your choice.

Consideration will be given to:

PUWER (The Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998)
Relates to the provision of work equipment and its safe use.
^ The nature and degree of risk associated with the
equipment and its use.
^ The means available to reduce it.

LOLER (The Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) Applies over and above the requirements of PUWER for lifting equipment & lifting operations.

^ The planning, supervision and execution of lifting operations to ensure safety.
^ The safe use of lifting equipment.
^ The periodic thorough examination of lifting equipment by a competent person.

   
COURSE AIM:
