Course aims

Delegates will gain an understanding of current legislation and be able to demonstrate the safe fitting and use of abrasive wheels in compliance with manufacturer’s instructions.

The course involves both classroom and practical sessions. It will introduce employer and employee duties for the use of work equipment and explain relevant legislation, including responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act. Delegates are tested at the end of the course via a written test paper.

The course will cover the following products:

• Angle grinders fitted with cutting or grinding wheels
• Cut-off saws
• Bench top cut-off saw

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the courses and passing the final test will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
