Developing a Safety Culture

LTE image

Course aims

Delegates will gain a sound introduction to their responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Regulations.

There were 241 fatal injuries to workers in 2006/07.

Health & Safety continues to be a priority at the top of every management agenda.

HSS Health & Safety courses are designed to create awareness of the law throughout an organisation – from an initial explanation of the individual’s role, through employer responsibilities, to a full understanding of the legal obligations for supervisory and managerial staff.

Specific courses deal with gas and gas-powered equipment and with fire safety.

Each course offers a range of benefits:

  • To the individual – providing an awareness of legal obligations under Health & Safety at Work legislation and developing safe working practices.
  • To the organisation – helping to develop a safety culture, leading to fewer accidents, less time lost from work and greater productivity.
