HSS Training is pleased to present its new steps and ladder course, in conjunction with the Ladder Association (LA). The LA offers a nationally recognised training scheme for users, supervisors and managers wanting to equip themselves with the knowledge,
skills and confidence necessary to use ladders and steps legally and safely. Drawing on guidance from the UK’s leading experts on ladder manufacture, maintenance and safety, the LA scheme addresses all the issues raised by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and, more recently, the Work and Height Regulations 2005. The course lasts approximately five hours and is broken down into two sections: a
two-hour theory session which will include a written test, followed by a practical session where the delegate will be assessed.
Course agenda
- Legislation and regulations affecting work at height
- Product standards and classifications for ladders and step ladders
- Hazards affecting the use of ladders and step ladders
