Course aims

Delegates will gain the knowledge needed to act as an Appointed Person able to take charge of first aid arrangements in the workplace.

Health & Safety regulations require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees.

This course is designed to offer the essential basic skills and knowledge required to administer emergency first aid at work until someone more qualified is available to take over the situation. The course is ideal for small businesses where Health & Safety risks are relatively minor or for persons expected to complement the skills of a qualified first-aider.

The St. John Ambulance approved course includes incident management and emergency life support training. Successful delegates will be able to recognise and treat a wide variety of workplace-related injuries and conditions.

The HSE approved Qualified First-Aider re-qualification/refresher course is available for the renewal of certificates.
